Khruangbin Announces New 2019 Dates

first_imgTexas-native trio Khruangbin has announced the addition of four new North American dates to their 2019 touring schedule. Known for their laid-back, instrumental brand of world music, Khruangbin has slowly built up a fervent fanbase over the past six years. The group released its debut album, The Universe Smiles Upon You, in 2015 to much critical acclaim, and followed that up with Con Todo El Mundo, released in January 2018.The newly added stops will see Laura Lee, Mark Speer, and Donald “DJ” Johnson perform at New York City’s Central Park on June 20th; Portland, ME’s State Theatre on June 21st; and Montreal, QB’s Corona Theatre on June 22nd. The trio will head to Hawaii later in the summer, for a show at The Republik in Honolulu on July 31st.Beginning this weekend, Khruangbin will plays shows throughout March and April in Australia, Japan, South Korea, Colombia, and Mexico before returning to the States with April appearances at both weekends of Coachella; Pomona, CA’s Fox Theater (4/18); Berkeley, CA’s Greek Theatre in support of Ghosts of the Forest (4/20); and Fort Worth, TX’s Fortress Festival (4/28).The band will continue into May with shows at Boulder, CO’s Boulder Theater; Lightning In A Bottle; Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre; Bloomington, IN’s The Bluebird before heading back across the pond in June.For a full list of Khruangbin’s upcoming tour dates, head here.last_img
